What is GITEX Global 2026?
GITEX Global is an annual technology exhibition held in Dubai, billed by its organisers as the world’s largest tech and AI show. It began in 1981 as the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition and has grown into a global platform where governments, enterprises, startups and investors meet.
The 2026 edition is the 46th. It runs under the theme “The Intelligent Economy” and, for the first time, moves from Dubai World Trade Centre to the much larger Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai.

What’s new at GITEX Global 2026?
A new home at Expo City Dubai
GITEX Global 2026 moves to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai. The new venue offers close to double the earlier floor space, which leaves room for larger live demonstrations of robotics, mobility and heavy-industry technology.
A one-day GITEX Summit before the expo
The week now opens with the GITEX Summit on 7 December. It is a single day of high-level discussion focused on AI sovereignty and how organisations scale AI safely. The four-day expo follows from 8 to 11 December.
Dedicated shows for the fastest-moving technologies
GITEX now groups its floor into focused shows, each covering one area of technology:
- GITEX Agentix: AI agents and autonomous software
- GITEX Quantum Expo: quantum computing
- GITEX World Robotix: robotics and physical AI
- GITEX SUPER COMPUTEX: data centres and high-performance computing
- GITEX MOBX: mobility and electric vehicles
- GITEX New Energyx: energy technology
- GITEX RetailX: retail technology
- GITEX Marketing Intelligence: AI for marketing
Expand North Star, GITEX’s startup and investor event, runs alongside the main show.
Technology trends to watch at GITEX Global 2026
These are the themes we expect to dominate conversations at GITEX Global 2026, and what they mean for businesses planning their next software investment.
1. Agentic AI moves from pilots to production
AI agents don’t just answer questions; they plan and complete multi-step tasks, such as processing an invoice, updating a CRM or booking a shipment. With a dedicated GITEX Agentix show this year, expect the talk to shift from “what can agents do?” to “how do we run them safely at scale?”
What it means for you: start with one well-defined, high-volume process, and build human approval steps and audit logs in from day one.
2. Sovereign AI and in-region data
The GITEX Summit’s focus on AI sovereignty reflects a growing demand, especially across the UAE and GCC, to keep sensitive data and AI models within national borders. Private and in-region large language models are becoming a procurement requirement, not a nice-to-have.
What it means for you: check where your AI vendors host data and models before you sign.
3. Physical AI, robotics and IoT
GITEX World Robotix and the larger Expo City floor put robots, drones and smart devices centre stage. The real value sits in the software layer: the IoT platforms and AI models that turn sensor data into decisions.
What it means for you: connect the devices you already own before buying new hardware.
4. Data centres, cloud and the cost of AI
AI workloads need serious compute. GITEX SUPER COMPUTEX covers the data-centre side, but for most companies the practical question is cloud cost: how to run AI features without runaway bills.
5. Quantum-ready planning
Quantum computing gets its own expo this year. Few businesses need quantum today, but security teams are starting to plan for quantum-safe encryption.

Tips for visiting GITEX Global 2026
- Get your pass early. Buy your visitor pass only from the official GITEX website.
- Plan for the new venue. This year GITEX is at Expo City Dubai, not Dubai World Trade Centre. Check the official site for transport options and allow extra travel time on day one.
- Pick your shows. With Agentix, Quantum, Robotix and other focused shows, decide which halls matter to you before you arrive.
- Book meetings before the show. The best conversations are planned. Lock in meetings in advance, including a 1:1 with CDN Solutions Group.
- Come with one clear problem. Vendors can help you far more when you bring a specific goal, such as “automate our claims process”, rather than a general interest in AI.
